Ellgia working in the community: Reach Fair 2017 & Isleham Tournament

Reach Fair famously holds the title of being the oldest fair in England, having been set up in 1201 when King John granted a charter for the village to run one. There has been a fair in Reach every year since and there was lots of traditional fun to be had there this Bank Holiday Monday. In fact around 4,000 people turned up to enjoy the traditional rides, stalls, live music, Morris dancing, village games and locally produced food.

But after the fairground rides have gone and the stalls have been packed away someone has to make sure all of the rubbish is taken away and recycled or disposed of safely.

As you can see from our photo, we were happy to supply plenty of Ellgia’s well-known green bins and a skip to deal with all of the waste and ensure Reach was returned to its pre-fair state.

Another community event we are supporting this month is the Isleham United Youth FC’s annual Festival of Football. This event is always huge fun for everyone taking part and for the spectators.

At Ellgia we think it’s vital to encourage young people to enjoy sport – that’s why we wanted to give our backing to this great event. Plus, we love all things football! Over the seven years the Festival of Football has been running it has become a huge success – and it just keeps on getting g bigger every year. It will be taking place on the weekend of May 20th and 21st.

Ellgia is sponsoring the main trophies, as well as supplying the club with a large skip, plus banners to go around outside of the football ground and a banner on the BBQ.
