Ellgia Recycling revisits old team and shows its support for Ely Crusaders FC

Ellgia Recycling, Ely-based award-winning waste management company, is proud to announce that it will be the official kit sponsor for Ely Crusaders Football Club Senior Team this season.

The Ely Crusaders FC senior players will be wearing new shirts featuring the Ellgia Recycling logo with pride after the successful local company signed a year’s sponsorship deal with the club this month.

Located in the city`s Lancaster Way Business Park, Ellgia Recycling provides bespoke commercial waste and recycling services to businesses across the east of England.

Joe Rudd, sales director at Ellgia Recycling, said: “I live in Ely and in my youth I played for Ely Crusaders FC, so this sponsorship means a lot to me personally. When the opportunity arose it was an easy decision to give our support to the club as we appreciate the important role that the club and Ellgia Recycling play in the local community.

“It’s an exciting time for both parties and we’re very proud to see the Ellgia Recycling logo on the shirts and we are looking forward to seeing the club delivering success on the pitch this season!!”

Chairman of Ely Crusaders FC, Paul Callaghan, said, “We’re thrilled to have the sponsorship and support of Ellgia Recycling this season, especially as this year we are celebrating our 50thanniversary. We’re a local club and play an important part in the community so it is great that a local business with – pardon the pun – similar goals, has taken such an interest in our club. We look forward to welcoming the team from Ellgia Recycling down to our grounds this season.”
