Ellgia shortlisted finalists for Ely Business Awards 2015

Ellgia Recycling, leading provider of bespoke commercial waste management solutions, has been shortlisted for three prestigious Ely Business Awards. The company is in the running for the Customer Service and Medium Business of The Year categories and its managing director, Steve Crook (pictured), has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Business Person of the Year category.

The awards, which take place on 2nd October 2015 at a gala dinner at Ely Cathedral, were launched to raise standards across the region by showcasing the excellent caliber of local businesses.

Ellgia Recycling was set up in 2011 and makes waste management simple and cost-effective for its customers. It operates an innovative ‘pay-by-weight’ solution, using the latest container weighing and identification technology to ensure that customers only pay for what they dispose of. It accurately records information including: waste type and weight; location details; date and time; container size and type.

At the heart of its success is the development of bespoke solutions that meet the needs of each of its customers, whether they are a very small business or large enterprise with operations in the East of England.  Its customers in and around Cambridgeshire include Cambridge University Press, Uk Packaging and CamOuse Financial Services.

Conclusion

Steve Crook, managing director at Ellgia Recycling, said: “We’re always striving to progress the business and we’re delighted that our work has been recognised by the Ely Business Awards, which are held in such high esteem across our region. We strive to be different from other waste management businesses and, with innovation at the heart of everything we do, it’s a credit to the whole team that we’re finalists. We’re looking forward to the awards evening and celebrating with all the other nominees.”
