Ellgia Recycling was awarded the North Lincolnshire Business Investment Award at The Hull and Humber Chamber of Commerce Awards 2019. They were recognised for their financial investment in the business, use of local supply chain, long term sustainability, community engagement and benefit, employment training and benefits and creating new jobs in the area.
Ellgia have invested £3.7m into the Scunthorpe site development since January 2017, much of which has been spent with local business partners, projects for improving the capture of recyclate from waste and turning what’s left into a sustainable fuel for producing heat and electricity. This investment has created new services but also created 15 permanent employment roles across the site.
